Pricing and PoliciesAll prices at this site are in U.S. dollars, if you require pricing in Canadian Dollars, please visit us at www.luggageworld.ca. At this time we only ship within the Continental United States. We will begin to ship to Alaska, Hawaii, and other destinations in the new year. All prices are net prices, we pay all applicable taxes, fees, and delivery charges. If you see a price of $99.99, then that's all you will pay, there are no hidden or additional charges. Standard shipping is via UPS. For security purposes we require that the delivery address be a location where you are available to sign for the package. This guarantees both of us some security. Standard UPS shipping guarantees delivery within 7 business days, anywhere within the Continental United States. Order, and shipping processing can take up to 24 hours, therefore you should under normal circumstances receive within 8 business days. While it is technically possible to purchase an item from the Canadian site for delivery in the U.S., it is not practical. Due to tariffs and duties you, the customer, would be faced with a hefty customs bill for the duty on your purchase, making the price unreasonably high. For this reason we are not able to ship from Canada to the U.S., and vice versa. How your order is processed: Upon receipt of your order, our system automatically processes your credit card, and verifies your name and address match the card, all via our secure server. You will then receive an e-mail confirmation of the authorization from the credit card verifier. Shortly thereafter, you shall receive a second confirmation, this one from us. This is your receipt, you must keep it in case you require warranty work, or decide to return the merchandise. It is also your verification that your order is being processed and shipped. Should you have any problems, always quote your receipt number when communicating with us.
We will send, in the same email as your receipt, a copy of the warranty for the luggage that you have purchased. While you should receive a warranty card with your luggage, we want to make absolutely sure that you have a copy, and what better way than as part of your receipt. The warranty clearly states what is and what is not covered. Please note; We may telephone you to verify your order prior to shipping. This not only verifies the purchase, and helps eliminate fraud, but also can help us gather feedback on the site. Returns: If you should receive your purchase and find that it is not what you expected, you have thirty (30) days from the date you receive the merchandise to request a return number. Returns are not, at this time, automated, your request will be dealt with promptly, within 24 hours. Merchandise is to be returned unused, in its original packaging. The return should to be shipped within 48 hours of the return number being issued, prepaid to our delivery location nearest you, with the return number clearly visible on the address label. Your credit card will be credited immediately upon receipt of the merchandise in good condition. If you do need to return an item, you must include your receipt number, and we would like to ask you to please include a reason as to why you are returning the product. While you are not required to do so, if the merchandise is not suited to your needs, we would like to know why, so that we can improve our service. You may want to insure your return; we cannot be responsible for lost or misdirected returns, or returns damaged in shipping. Should the merchandise have arrived with a defect, please specify what the defect is, and we will arrange for a credit, repair, or replacement, at your convenience. Defects: Unfortunately, defects happen even in the best luggage. While this does not mean that all luggage in a series is defective, it does mean that someone made a mistake while assembling your luggage. Please let us know of any defects that do occur, we will forward relevant information to the manufacturers to prevent further problems. You may also contact the manufacturers directly, their address and, often, their telephone number is printed on your warranty.
A simple rule of thumb is this; A defect is a mistake in assembly, or in the materials. If you check-in your luggage in good condition, it should be returned in the same. If it is not, you are entitled to a repair or replacement, from the common carrier that you used. Luggage warranties do not cover damage done to them by airline handling. Your plane ticket does. To claim this type of damage you must obtain a claim number from the airline representative at your final destination. It does not matter how many connections you made, or who you flew with, it is the final carrier who assumes responsibility. Each airline is required to compensate their passengers for the loss of or damage to your luggage. The schedule of your rights is available from your airline. Occasionally we have come across an airline agent who does not wish to issue a claim number for damages. As long as you insist, they will do so, and will clearly identify what the damage is. Many airlines will even arrange to pick up your damaged luggage, and return it repaired. If it is not repairable, or cannot be repaired to a reasonable level of satisfaction, your airline will normally offer to replace your luggage. If the luggage is new, and you have your receipt they will often reimburse you to full value. If the luggage is older, or you do not have your receipt, they will offer you fair value. One nice thing about shopping with us is that you never have to worry about losing your receipt, so long as you do not delete it from your mailbox. Privacy and Security Statement. Our Shopping Guarantee protects you while you shop at Luggageworld, so that you never have to worry about the safety of using your credit card. We guarantee that every transaction you make at Luggageworld will be completely safe and secure. We are committed to protecting your privacy. We use the information we collect about you to process orders and to provide a more personalized shopping experience. We may, at some time in the future, also use it to tell you about changes in our services or about special offers we think you'll find valuable. We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others. When you order, we need to know your name, e-mail address, mailing address, credit card number and expiration date. This allows us to process and fulfill your orders and to notify you of your order status. When you place orders or access your account information, we use a secure server. The secure server software encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. Furthermore, all of the data we collect is protected against unauthorized access. "Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive.
